Long Time no Post ♥

Hey dahlings... sorry I haven't written in a while. There is nothing worth writing about at zee moment... Except for the fact that I am SUPER excited about the Harry Potter Encyclopedia that JK Rowling has definitely promised to write at some point in the future. YAY! I guess it will explain the fates and other facts of the characters from the series.

I woullldddd write about how the real pier jump went today at guards but I guess I talk too much about junior guards. It was fun though, if you care :) See my other pier jump monologue - its basicallly the same feeeling.

But my summer has been pretty amazing this year. And it can only get better :)
I'm looking forward to the Da Vinci camp at NHHS, the rest of the fair, and just hangin out like I love to do...

and i'm now obsessed with these little hearts ♥♥

Pier Jump x4!!!

AAAH Today at JG's was sooo fun! We jumped off the Newport Pier, and no, not just once, but FOUR TIMES!! I was so proud of myself, i just walked right up to the edge of the ledge of the pier, and took a deeeep breath. My instructor counted down, and as soon as he said "go," I eased my right leg off of the pier, and my left leg followed in suit right behind. Miliseconds later, I was plummeting down through the warm, humid air, and in a flash, I was under the water, frantically kicking and swimming towards the surface. While coming up, I seemed to have coughed (WHILE UNDERWATER!!!) Not very smart. Tahrust me. After hoisting myself back up onto the boat ramp, I once again walked up to the edge and just kind off launched off the pier. The third time, I got to jump off with a girl in my group named Hilary, but when we went, our instructor didn't say "GO!" he just said "one.. two... three!" and we waited for him to say go, but he never did! He recounted down, and I was the only person that jumped off on "three." It was weird. The last time, I was prepared for the worst, including when BOTH of our instructors were laughing and screaming "what are you doing!!!" as i'm speeding towards the water. It turns out the wrong instructor counted down, and one was laughing at the other, not at ME. I guess that my form was quite graceful =]

Anyway, if anyyy of you ever have a chance to jump off something, DO IT!

Harry Potter is Ahmazing!

Aaah in the last 24 hours I have taken in SOOO much of the seventh HP book! I'm on page 552 at the moment, and i've already started crying!!! One of my favorite characters died (not telling who) and i got SO mad at the book.

This is, without a doubt, the best book in the series. If any of you have put off reading any of the HP books at some point, you neeeed to read them because it is totally worth reading HP&TDH!!! JK Rowling, the author of the books, is one of the most successful female authors in the world! And something is just so fun about a sharpie scar on your forehead hahaha

Today at guards, we had a little tattoo parlor going on. Right now, since i'm still in my guards suit, I counted... lemme see... like 8 tattoos! I gave out like a thousand of my signature rose tattoos with ballpoint pen, but Lindsey's was the original =]

Off to start chapter 28 of HP!

Sooo Sad

I'm sooo sad... it's oh-so-ficially the last Harry Potter book! And I am a proud owner of HP7... the book is so pretty I'm scared to read it! Surprisingly, I've had the book for over 12 hours now and I still haven't read ANY of it. This is realllly weird!

Luckily, the book will be XC at school next year, so now I have an excuse to read it =]

And ughhh I had two and a half donuts for breakfast this morning... not a good meal for pre-tennis-ness!

Side Ponytails

This summer has been pretty ahmazing so far, and it is this way cause its the summer of change. For one, I love wearing shorts! (if you havent noticed). I also am ahbsessed with side ponytails (only on the right, ahv course). They are sooo fun and different! I'm actually kind of surprised that I can pull that whole look off. It looks cute after going to the beach because the ponytail gets all wavy and sea-sprayed.

And AAH i'm so nervous! My VERY first tennis tournament is tomorrow in Irvine, and i'm quite scared. Since it is supposedly a "novice" tournament, maybe I won't lose toooo badly. Errm, I mean, positive attitude! YAY!

I hope ALL of you guys can be part of my ahmazing summer! If you haven't already, make sure to give me a ring-a-ling-ling on the telly and we can chillax togezaa.

Harry Potter 7

Aaaah ohhhhmagawd! The book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows comes out in two days! I can't wait! In this book, you basically get all the answers about characters that have been killed off, and the fate of Harry and *gasp* the EEEEVIL Lord Voldemort. Now Voldy has been officially "back" from his relapse or whatever for some time now, and his minions are as busy as ever.

One of my favorite minions, Professor Snape, committed a very very very bad deed in HP6. Now I know that everyone wants Snapeykins to be all evil and everything, but i really hope that he ends up being a good person. After all, he did so much good stuff to help Harry over the years!

If you are a HP fahnatic like I am (as well as most of my friends), please comment with your theories for the next book, and who is supposedly going to be killed off! J.K. Rowling has revealed that two of her favorite characters will be terminated in the seventh and final book.

Happy harrypottering everyone! Summer reading is sooo going to have to wait until I finish this book!

Shorts #1

Well, I guess i'm eventually going to have to fulfill the whole "shorts" part of this blog at some point. But i know that it won't be hard, since shorts just seem to always attract my eyes =] Shorts are perfect, because you can tan your legs, and show off your finely toned thighs, but you can be comfortable and run around as much as you want! And these ones are sooo cute. I have a pair almost just like them!

Mooosic

A very important part of my life is music. Deffffffinitely. My fave genres would have to be alternative, hip-hop, and electronic.

At the moment, my favorite band is The Hush Sound, which has vocals competing between a male and female voice. Their style is very unique, and their songs are very calming. If you really listen to the lyrics, you will uncover some serious symbolism, like totally!

I should stop complaining though =] Thanks to all my fellow Chubasco's for doing ahmazing today! And Jen, i can't wait to finish naming the people in Pizza Pete's on the mural. Haha i love Fernando and Hernando so much!

My First Post!

Hey everyone, I'm so excited for my new blog! "Blog" reminds me of balogna, just the whole spelling of it and everything. Anyway, I know you are probably wondering who is this "Nikki" person? And what does she care about shorts, and summer?!

Well as a matter of fact, I just HAPPEN to be Nikki. I live in B-E-A-Utiful Orange County, CA, I love the color greeen, and just happen to be having an ahmazing summer in 2007. Shorts are probably my favorite article of clothing, which surprisingly even beat out my rainbow sandals, which are also greeen! If i could, I would wear shorts every day. But of course, the OC isn't as much of a paradise as most people conceive it to be; IT ACTUALLY GETS COLD! Well, if you think that 65 degrees is cold, which i do =]

Right now, my life is all about junior lifeguards, tennis, mike & ikes (my favorite candy!), and Panera Bread, my new favorite lunch spot! It's the best cuz they give you bread with ehhvverysinglethingyouorder. Bread might just be my favorite food, as most people know.

And i must make a shout out to my inspirations for my balogna-ness, i mean blogness, Carolyn and Alise!

So, mainly, this blog will be about my adventures in life, summer, and shorts shopping!
